My Father: Griffith Frost

My father as a child influenced me to try everything. He always told me, "If you try anything 10 times, you learn to like it." I have embraced this as a life model. Having dislikes can limit your life and life experiences and so it is important to have PMA and enjoy life to the fullest. My father made me feel special because he told me I was special and I truly believe that. He made us think about our life goals and life mission. During our Sunday meetings, we reflected and shared our goals in categories such as: education, family and friends, life mission (career), finances and society. He also made us think about what our contribution to society and the importance of giving back. Many of these characteristics instilled in me as a child is still evident in my teaching. I encourage children to contribute to the classroom and community in any way they can, I motivate children to always try foods and even if they don't like fruit to finish at least half a fruit every morning, and I try to make each child feel special and loved and confident enough to push themselves to try anything they want to try and succeed!
