My Aunt: Sumiko Nomura

Sumiko or Su-chan has nurtured, cared and made me feel special since I was a small child. In the long summer and winter breaks when my siblings and I would go to Japan without our parents, Su-chan would step up as our mother. Even though our parents were not there with us in Japan, I never felt alone. On the contrary, she created a home environment for us where nothing was lacking. Su-chan is very independent. I have always been very dependent on my family and especially on my brothers and sisters that I never had to do anything I didn't want to do. However, with Su-chan's influence, she has pushed me to take care of myself and be proactive in taking care of your home and family. Su-chan is my rock in Japan.
